The last couple miles into the park are curvy and downhill. Once in the park, it is pretty spacious and well kept. Check your supplies because there is nothing nearby. ATT cell service was excellent.
This is a very well kept campground. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they take great care of the grounds. The bathrooms were scrubbed daily, we never had a problem with neighbors or noise. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Site 33 was perfectly level side to side and easy to get into with our 27' TT. The hookups were good (only 30 amp electric, which is exactly what we needed), not hard to get to as some other campgrounds are. The bathhouse is just a few steps away, really from anywhere on the grounds as there are several bathhouses. If you stay here, you must eat at the Fork, you'll see it on your way in. There isn't much within 25 to 30 minutes of the grounds but that wasn't a problem for us. We will definitely be back!
This is a beautiful place to camp. We camped on the island, and enjoyed being able to kayak right up to the campsite. This is our new favorite campground. I deducted a star because the quiet hours aren't enforced by the hosts, and the porto potties are in bad shape. We had a group set up in the site next to us from 11pm until 2am. They were yelling, screaming, shining lights into other people's tents. I don't think anyone on the island got to sleep that night. As for the Porto's, I've seen cleaner ones at music festivals. The company that pumps them clearly doesn't spray them down with water. There's feces smeared on the walls, the locks don't work, holes in the plastic walls. I think it might be time to find a better company for your porto maintenance. Even with these issues we still had an amazing time and we can't wait to come back.
This place was so relaxing! We had a family picnic up by the lake and it was so nice!! We enjoyed a few hrs up there with a group from our church and just enjoyed each other's company! Great times had by all! Thank you for making the place enjoyable!! The bathrooms were AC cooled and clean!! It was nice to see soap in a campground bathroom! Never had seen that in public campground or park bathrooms before! So nice!! We will def be coming back!!
Campgrounds is very well kept up. Sites are not right on top of one another. Your on an inlet so numerous waters edge sites available. Hosts are great. Loading ramp for boats.
Our first trip to this campground we found the sites to be very close together. The lake was beautiful. We had booked a lake site and was glad that we were able to pull our boat right up to our site. The problem we found was people who did not have lake site were parking in front of our site and constantly walking or running through our site. I politely asked the man to please not walk thru our site he cussed me out and continued to walk through our site I called the host to help with the issue. He asked them to go around which they did not. It was very frustrating that because he didn’t get a lake site he was determined to ruin our stay . I feel the park should have rules if you don’t have a lake site you cannot park in front of someone’s site and ruin their view. The people next to us were equally upset , this group was totally disrespectful to other campers and I didn’t think the host did enough to put a stop to his terrible behavior.
Great campground! Most all sites are great.
Clean bathrooms and showers . Can’t go wrong booking a site at Lillydale.
Great campground for swimming fishing and a little hiking. Beauty view from sun up to sun down. Clean bath houses and clean campground. It's peaceful and relaxing.
